Changing Gracie's Food
Sunday Brunch is one of my all time favorite ways to enjoy the weekend....for today's brunch Gracie gets a change of food. Gracie had been on Hill's W/D special food (which was used to treat her gall bladder condition), but we stayed on it for timing reasons so that any food change that disrupted her gastrointestinal system would not be confused for other cancer related issues such as infection. Now we are making the switch to Royal Canine S/O hard food in combination with a special homemade blend of chicken white meat, millet, safflower oil with a little iodized salt which is what the nutritionist at GVS came up with. Over the next few days we'll mix the two until we eliminate the old food and get her used to the new food without stress to her system. In addition we're starting to mix in a some supplements: cell advance, Gracie's formula (50% Qing Fei, 50% Wei Qi Booster), Hoxsey, Opti EPA (fish oil). Hopefully the change and additions will go smoothly without upsetting her stomach. She, and her buddy Charlie, are both excited to eat so that's good. After eating Gracie and Charlie both went into the family room and played for a minute before deciding to stretch out and relax with their full bellies.
