Gracie's moustache is falling out
Gracie seems happy as ever this morning. Barking and jostling around with Charlie. That's good to see as I make her special breakfast. Both pups are waiting patiently. Gracie had a bit of a sick spell last night, but seemed to recover quickly. She threw up just a little bit, which of course made me super nervous, but then seemed relatively fine after that. I'm not sure if it's the chemo, the supplements or a combination of the two. Hopefully it'll be fine today. I know that she doesn't like the Chinese medicine supplement that gets mixed in her food, she seems to avoid that part of the food so I'll have to come up with a better trick to get her to take it. Gracie and Charlie ate all their breakfast, Gracie needed a little coaxing with the Chinese medicinal powder mixed in but she eventually ate it. As for the day I notice she losing a lot more hair by her muzzle. She's got some chunks of hair coming out and her moustache is definitely thinning out. It made me cry when i was scratching her muzzle and a few chunks were left in my hand when I pulled it away. I know they say it's one of the side effects that can happen and it's normal for what she's going through. Gracie doesn't seem to notice or mind. She's as demanding of my attention as ever, just wanting to be touched and loved.....so I do. Charlie is such a good big brother....he's always checking on her. Playing with a stuffed toy then staying close by when she takes a nap. I'm hoping that her stomach stays settled and we can go for a nice walk in the morning when it's still cool. Sweet Gracie, she's snoring as I write this.
Lots of napping!
